Our client is adding an Accountant to its accounting department.
As the Accountant reporting to the Controller, your responsibilities will include Providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements Assisting with month-end closing procedures Tracking and collections of accounts receivable Prepares financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from QuickBooks accounting system Provides accounting support to Controller by reviewing financial information, preparing financial statements, and assisting with month-end closings Skills/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in accounting required Minimum of 2 years of applicable accounting experience Solid G/L accounting background Proven knowledge of QuickBooks Skilled at creating, tracking, and maintaining financial reports Understanding of accounting codes and balance sheet accounts Proficiency in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot any abnormalities Must be deadline-oriented Attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills a must Our client is seeking local/commutable candidates Why this opportunity:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
