Process Engineer

Therma-Tru Doors is currently seeking a Process Engineer at our Howe, Indiana distribution center. The facility is conveniently located off the Indiana turnpike near the Indiana/Michigan border.

As the Process Engineer, you will advise site leadership and own cost improvement projects in quality and productivity. You will prepare and implement capital improvement projects related to safety, security, site expansion and actively participate in the development of lean processes. You will use your communication and team building skills to drive a continuous improvement environment. You will be successful by providing creative, out of the box ideas to everyday issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain process documentation including: standard work, procedures, machining process specifications, and OAM (operator assisted maintenance) procedures.
Understand and implement: Lean methodologies, measurement devices, engineering drawings, and product changes. Support the process improvement cycle: stabilize, optimize, and innovate.
Participate in and lead data-driven process improvements.
Collect and analyze data for process control and capability improvement.
Work on cross functional teams including members from operations, engineering, customer service, and safety.
Develop production process goals designed to meet sales and budgeted targets
Complete process improvement projects designed to meet or exceed sales and budget goals
Work with production to resolve process/quality problems.
Requirements:
4- year engineering degree - Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred
2 or more years of engineering experience
Project Management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Training experience: leading and facilitating
Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
Strong ability to drive change
Experience in a Facilities Engineer role preferred
Previous experience in Supervisory role leading team
Candidates for positions with Therma-Tru must be legally authorized to permanently work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including student visas.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
