Sodexo Universities segment is seeking a self starter Chef Manager for our long tenured account (50+ years!) at Howe Military Academy in Howe, Indiana. Howe Military is a private, co-educational, and college preparatory boarding school that enrolls students for 7-12 grades. Sodexo is responsible for resident dining and simple catering on campus. This is a perfect position for a manager who is looking for an opportunity to run their own account. Position will be responsible for creating menus using Sodexo systems, HACCP, Safety, Sanitation and other duties as needed.
Reporting to the Area General Manager, the Chef Manager is the only salaried manager at the account with responsibility of overseeing up to 8 hourly staff and 1 supervisor, feeding 1500 weekly meals. Immediate emphasis should be customer service, quality of product, HACCP, sanitation and safety. The staff is skilled in their culinary abilities and proud of their day to day performance however need a day to day leader. This position includes standard management duties such as staff scheduling, culinary planning meetings, customer & client interaction, front of house interaction, record keeping, and food and physical safety management.
The preferred candidate should have 3-5 years of food production experience and can appreciate a diverse university culture. The work environment is pleasant; client relationship is professional and respectful.
The best qualified candidate will have the following:
College/University food production experience
Experienced in training and leading a kitchen staff
Culinary experience with ordering
Experience with inventory controls
Experience managing food and labor costs
Experience with HACCP, and food & physical safety practices.

Position Summary

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
